Principal's News

Dear Community,

Today, our Sacred Heart community came together to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with a beautiful whole-school Mass, held in partnership with our Parish. This significant feast day reminds us of the Blessed Virgin Mary's journey to heaven, body and soul, a powerful testament to her faith and purity.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Emil for leading the Mass and for his inspiring words that resonated with both students and staff. A special mention also goes to our Year 6 students for their leadership during the Mass. Their dedication and involvement made the celebration even more meaningful for everyone.

As we reflect on the Assumption, we are reminded of the importance of faith in our lives and the strength we draw from our shared community.

Piano Recital Concert

This Friday, from 11:45am to 12:45pm, our School Hall will be filled with the beautiful sounds of our students' piano performances. Many of our students have been taking private piano lessons, and this recital is an excellent opportunity to showcase the skills and music they have been diligently working on.

We warmly invite all members of our school community to join us.

New Fence

You may have noticed that a new fence is being installed around the school. This upgrade is an important part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors and sprucing up the school.

While the work is being completed, we appreciate your patience and understanding. The new fence will provide added security and safety and enhance the school- the old fence was dilapidated and dangerous in parts.

This project should be completed in the next few weeks.

Book Week next week

Get ready for one of the most exciting weeks of the school year—Book Week! Starting next Monday, 19th August, we invite all students to come dressed as their favourite character or book. It’s an opportunity for our students to express their creativity and love for reading.

We’ll kick off the celebrations with a whole-school parade during the morning assembly. Parents are most welcome to join us as they proudly showcase their costumes. It’s always a highlight to see the imaginative and thoughtful costumes that students create, bringing their favourite stories to life.

Book Week is a special time at Sacred Heart. It encourages a love of reading and fosters a sense of community as we all come together to celebrate literature. We look forward to seeing everyone’s costumes and sharing the magic of books on Monday.

TELL THEM FROM ME (TTFM) SURVEY

In the coming weeks, we will invite students, teachers, and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey. The surveys are an essential part of our school evaluation and planning process.

We invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. We value the role of parents and carers within our school community and would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to improve further student learning and well-being at Sacred Heart Primary School.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. The survey is due to be completed by Friday 23rd August. You are able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using the URL below: http://tellthemfromme.com/rftms

As a new principal, I would greatly value your feedback. Please make this a priority one day in the next few weeks. In fact, jump on now!

In faith and partnership,
