Book Week
BOOK WEEK
Each year, across Australia, the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together by celebrating Book Week. During this time the focus is on enjoying children's literature from Australian Authors and Illustrators.
BOOK WEEK CHARACTER PARADE
Our Book Character Parade is on Friday 23rd of August and all students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character and bring along either the book or a copy of the front cover. Alternatively, students may wish to come as a superhero in keeping with the 2019 CBCA Book Week theme "Reading Is My Secret Power".
BOOK WEEK ART DISPLAY - Westfield Woden
In Library this term, the students are busy creating artwork based on the Shortlisted books. The art will then be displayed at Westfield Woden, in Centre Court for the duration of Book Week from Monday 19th August to Sunday 25th of August.
CHILDREN'S BOOK COUNCIL SHORTLISTED BOOK FOR 2019
The books on the bookshelf near the doors to the Stage 2 classes are the Children's Book Council Shortlisted Book for 2019. If you would like to use any of the books next week to celebrate Book Week you are more than welcome to do so. Please just leave me a note if you borrow from here.
