  • Please No parking in the Church carpark during afternoon pickup.

  • Peer Support Session 2 Strong Me! is this Friday.
Our session this week for students involves being Stronger Together - our Peer Support module, encourages students to identify their personal strengths as a key protective factor to address bullying and looks at ways of utilising these positive attributes to support themselves and others to build resilience. Parents of participating students might like to ask what they said or thought their strengths might be and suggest some more.

  • We are still after Parent Representitives for various classes, please contact the front office if you are interested in helping. It is not a roll that requires you to be available during school hours. For further information about the roll please refer to the SchoolZine feed from the 21st February 2020.

      • Learning Assets Collaborators

        collaboraters.png

Collaborators can work with others on shared goals, questions and challenges. They know how to be a constructive part of a team, to use different roles for different tasks and to actively listen to and respect other people’s views. They understand how their behaviour affects others.(K. Murdoch ‘Power of Inquiry’ p98)

Collaborators can talk about how we work together and plan for working in different ways with different people. Examples of times when we may teach the assets of being a collaborator may include:

        • Think and talk about our feelings with others
        • Talk about how we can play and learn together
        • Look after and share materials with others
        • Show others we are listening to them
        • Do different jobs when you are in a group
        • Use words to solve problem
        • Manage time and stay organised as a team
        • Understand and respect other points of view
        • Compromise and negotiate when we don’t get our way

Kinder and Stage 1 will usually only explore being ‘Compassionate’. Stage 2 and 3 will develop language about all three – Compassionate, Empathic and Reliable.
