Dear Parents and Carers,
LENTEN REFLECTION
Why do I feel guilty when I experience God’s most generous gifts in abundance? Almost as if to say, “Why so much for me when many others have so little?” I sometimes feel my life is blessed with an endless supply of loaves and fishes from God, and it’s my life’s duty to help share this feast with the world.
I often pray to Saint Francis, who I have a special kinship with as I was born on his feast day in St. Francis Hospital. I think back to his story of being generous with all he had and making his life’s work a sharing of God’s generosity.
This Lent, I am trying to be more aware of the blessed moments—not to avoid but embrace the broken times—and be more cognisant in recognising the abundance of gifts of joy, love, and grace God provides for us in this beautiful world.

Director’s Day and Catholic Leaders Retreat
At last week’s Directors day in Bowral, leaders in Catholic Education discussed the Catholic Education System’s Teaching and Learning agenda.
During the retreat we were privileged to have Professor Brother David Hall lead us in reflection on The Virtue of Hope: Leading Learning and Mission. I thank the staff for all they did to enable me to participate in this wonderfully fulfilling experience.
The Church Car Park
For the safety of all and in keeping with traffic rules, cars coming down from the church carpark must give way to the traffic coming into the school carpark on their right. The cars turning right through the incoming traffic flow is not only causing disruption, but we have had several near misses as cars try to turn right.
It also causes a hold up for the traffic leaving the carpark after drive-through pick-up.
Interim Reports
Staff are currently preparing the Interim Reports. These reports will be sent home to families on Friday 27 March. Information regarding parent/teacher and 3-Way Conferences to be held in Week 9 will be sent out soon.
Visit to the Art Gallery
I had the pleasure of accompanying our Stage 3 students to the National Gallery. The National Gallery is an amazing resource for Canberrans and the opportunity to see Matisse and Picasso side by side was an experience too good to miss. Our students were delightful and made us extremely proud.
