PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you once again for your support as we walk together in managing this difficult time of uncertainty. We are truly blessed to belong to such a beautiful community. The staff are truly grateful for the good wishes and thanks that have been sent to them as we begin this new regime of delivering quality teaching and learning for our students.

In these times let us remember the words of Julian of Norwich,

‘All shall be well, all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well’

Father Richard has provided the following to help us in nurturing our spiritual needs during this time.

A SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER

Dear Lord,

I believe in the presence of Your Body and Blood

in the Eucharistic celebration of the Last Supper.

Since I cannot receive You Sacramentally,

I embrace You Spiritually into my heart.

Never permit me to be separated from you.

My Lord and my God.

Amen.

Daily Mass is offered at http://www.catholicvoice.org.au

Interim Reports will be sent home tomorrow with the remote learning packs.

As you are aware, we have aligned the Sacred Heart Interim Report to the Inquiry skills - Assets for life-long learning. Staff and students are using this language to describe the intent and develop skills as a researcher, thinker, communicator, self-manager and collaborator.

To further support your understanding of the report, Mrs Wode has been including a description of each ASSESTS for life – long learning in our Term One newsletters.

Reports indicate where your child’s strengths and areas for growth are currently. We would encourage you to support your child in areas for growth and celebrate their areas of strength. We do not expect every child will be achieving in every skill at this stage of the year.

Learning Over the Next 2 Weeks Remote and in School

We ask for your continued patience as this new approach to teaching and learning is rolled out at SHPS. Staff will be working on planning and testing online systems should this continue into next term, as well as checking in on children’s learning.

If you wish to be in touch with a teacher over the next 2 weeks, we ask that you send through an email to the front office. This email will be then forwarded to staff or responded to as needed. There will be a response within 24 hours if sent during school hours.

Please be aware of copyright for resources and therefore things that have been prepared for your children should not be shared with others.

  • Remote learning packages will be ready for pick up tomorrow as per Tuesday’s communication. Please maintain social-distancing restrictions and follow directions to enter the hall.
  • An electronic copy of the Remote Learning Grid for each stage will be sent home to all families. This will ensure every family knows about the learning happening for all, at home and school.
  • Please be assured that if your child is at school, your children will be completing the same work as those who are remote.
  • Please note that the children who will be at school some days only will need to transport their packs between the 2 learning spaces.
  • If your child/ren are learning at school and things change, please let us know so that their pack can be sent home on the day.

Yours faithfully,
