In light of the revised Archdiocesan Protocol for COVIC-19 (Coronavirus) Sacred Heart Church has cancelled all the scheduled Sacramental Programs at this time.  It was not an easy decision but our top priority is keeping our parishioners, families and children safe. We are not calling for enrolments for the Sacrament of Confirmation just yet, however we will let families and schools know as soon as we have more information on when we can reschedule.  We look forward to seeing you and celebrating together when this time comes.

    Community Council Connections

    COM_COUN_PIC.jpg

What a strange world we find ourselves in right now! Our community is strong, and while we are physically distancing, we must remember to stay socially connected. The mix of school and home learning environments will provide challenges and opportunities. This is a time to reach out and support each other, whether it's understanding Maths, literacy game ideas to keep entertained, or practical steps to keep us all sane when at home. As a Community Council we will continue to work with the School Executive on providing another link between our families and the school.

This week the Council Executive met to discuss plans in the current climate. While it’s no surprise our meeting was dominated by Covid-19 impacts, there was a sense that this will pass and we will find time to celebrate appropriately as a community when the time is right. I want to thank our various sub-committees for all their preparations for this year. While our event calendar changes, our intent to stay connected continues.

Look to our Facebook channels to ask, exchange, share and support ideas for making this home time as fun and engaging as possible. It’s great to see resources being shared in our Parents and Carers Facebook group. This is a private group for our school community, a place to engage with fellow parents and carers.

We are all in this together! Let’s keep our wellbeing as a community at the forefront of our connection.
