Dear Parents and Carers,

This weekend we celebrate the gift of mothers and thank them for all they do every day. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers in our community. It is definitely not always the easiest job but one of the most important.

Mums give their children two things. One is roots, the other is wings.

We wish Mothers every blessing and wish them all the best on their special. May the day be all that they need it to be.

We also pray for those in our community who have lost their mum. We appreciate the day can also be tinged with a little sadness.

Return to school Monday 18th May

We are looking forward to the return of children to school on Monday 18 May. We have missed their beautiful faces and joyous company.

Slides will be sent out today in the Google Classroom in readiness for next week. I just take a moment to thank parents for the amazing job they have been doing at home and appreciate how difficult it must have been. A reminder that the work being sent out each week has optional extras for children who want and need to go further. If something is not working, leave it. The most important thing for you and your family at this extraordinary time is your wellbeing. In keeping your child’s learning on track, you are doing well when your child manages to write, read and do some maths each day. This coupled with some physical activity and fresh air is enough.

A Q & A is currently being prepared to support families as we move from remote learning to face-to-face.

Community Council Meeting
