Every year the Sacred Heart community supports the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal with donations of food for Christmas Hampers. This year we want to continue to play an important part in renewing hope for the thousands of people who face an uncertain Christmas. Together, we can continue to bring smiles of love and joy to the people who need it most this season.
The appeal collection will run from Thursday 11th November (Week 6) through to Friday 3rd  December (Week 9).  Donations will be collected in classrooms.

The Stages have been allocated the following items:

Kindergarten – Sweet biscuits, cereal, long life milk

Stage 1 – Chips, sweets/lollies, Christmas cakes

Stage 2 – Soft drinks, cordials, Christmas puddings

Stage 3 –Dried pasta, pasta sauce, tea and coffee, milo

Thank you in advance for your generosity in making others in our community Christmas feel special during this holiday season.

On Friday 26th November, Sacred Heart will have a Crazy Sock Day. Students may wear any coloured socks, odd socks or sporting socks with their school uniform. For this special day, we kindly ask students to bring a gold coin donation. The money will be collected by our Faith Leaders and the Stage 3 students and teachers will use the donated money to purchase games and toys for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. We look forward to seeing all the silly socks and thank you for supporting St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.coins.png

Friday 18th November will be our whole school "Ride to School Morning"

Ride Safely to School Week

Ride Safely to School Week has been developed to give schools the opportunity to reinforce safety messages around cycling while encouraging students to ride to school.

We recognise the importance of kids getting the recommended 60 mins of physical activity everyday, and that while riding your bike it’s just as important to be safe on the streets.

Sacred Heart works in collaboration with the Physical Activity Foundation and Trek to support this great initiative. We will be encouraging students to ride all week and on the Friday will have a socially distanced ride morning. Look out for more details in the coming weeks.

Prayer and Reflection Resources

These prayer and reflection resources are for all families to find comfort, connection to faith and reassurance in these unsettling times. We encourage our school community to set aside time for personal and family prayer.
