Leadership Mass

We were really grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate our student leaders at mass this week. As always, Father Richard had words of wisdom to share with us for the beginning of the year. We extend our appreciation to Mrs Imbriano who organized the mass and the Stage 3 Team (Mr Fox, Mr Beltrame and Mrs Kelly) for all their work in preparing a beautiful event.  We also thank Mrs Wode for her technical assistance during the mass to enable the rest of the school and wider community to join us.

During the Liturgy a blessing and the investiture of our School Captains and Year 6 Leaders took place.

Thank you to Mr Fox for organising a live stream so the school community could watch remotely.

Gratitude

Gratitude is a healthy choice that is not only good for you, but for others, too. When you experience gratitude and express appreciation, you are taking the opportunity to relate with others, practice empathy, and demonstrate kindness to yourself and others. 2 Jan 2018 A quote from Huffpost.com

Each week in the newsletter we will refer to this term’s focus value, Gratitude.

Request to Dispense Medication

Students with ongoing medication needs are required to have a medical plan. This includes conditions such as asthma and allergies. Please lodge or update these plans with the office.

Students who need to bring medication to school for temporary conditions need to present the medication in the original container and a ‘Request to dispense medication’ form to the office. The child will be called to the office at the appropriate time to receive the medication. The form is available on our website here.

For further information about the Medical Welfare of Students at school please read the CECG Policy here or contact our office.

✨ Community Council AGM ✨

Our AGM will be via Zoom on Tuesday 15th February. All are very welcome to attend and to propose items for discussion.

In addition to all positions being open for election, the AGM agenda will include an update on COVID measures and a discussion of the priorities for Council in 2022.

I have also asked for a representative from YMCA to attend so that we can have a discussion about Vacation Care and about how we can work together to drive higher attendance.

If you have any questions or suggestions for meeting items, please EMAIL the school office.

A zoom link for the meeting will be sent via SZapp on the day.
