Parent Representative
We are calling for nominations for a Parent Representative for each class for 2023. The Class Parent Rep will liaise with the classroom teacher and the Community Council Parent Rep Coordinator.
The role is very flexible but often entails:
- Managing a class contact group
- Arranging age appropriate catch-ups for families to meet each other
- Support chain if a family in the class needs a helping hand
- Something special for the teacher’s birthday
- Supporting the school in communicating with parents about special events
If you are interested in continuing with the role, taking it on or even sharing it with someone, please talk with Anne Staines or Danielle Hartnett (2022 CC Parent Rep Coordinator).

Code of Conduct - Volunteering and Events with Children
As the Fair is our first big event since before COVID we would like to remind everyone of our school community Code of Conduct guidelines. Many people are giving hours of their time to make this special event a successful endeavour for our community. Kindness is always appreciated.

Every year the Sacred Heart community support the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal with donations of food for Christmas Hampers. This year we want to continue to play an important part in renewing hope for the thousands of people who face an uncertain Christmas. Together, we can continue to bring smiles of love and laughter to the people who need it most this season.
The appeal collection will run from Thursday 17th November (Week 6) through to Friday 2nd December (Week 8). Donations will be collected in classrooms.
The Stages have been allocated the following items:
Kindergarten – sweet biscuits, cereal, long life milk
Stage 1 – Chips, sweets/lollies, Christmas cakes
Stage 2 – Soft drinks, cordials, Christmas puddings
Stage 3 – Dried pasta, pasta sauce, tea and coffee, milo
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for making others in our community feel special during this holiday season.
School Sport
It’s a fantastic time of year to start thinking about how students can make the transition from school sport to sporting clubs with many local sporting organisations now taking registrations for summer. To promote club sport to families in our SHPS community please find below the link to help students make the move from school to club sport. We encourage you to use the Sporting Schools Find a Club page, where parents can explore more than 35 sports and find a club in their local area for your child to get engaged and start a lifelong love of sport. With so many options, there is something for everyone!
