AROUND THE SCHOOL

Harmony Day

Last Thursday the students and staff participated in Harmony Day. A sea of orange and some amazing clothing of various cultures.

Year 6 and Kindergarten Maths

Year 6 and Kindergarten working together to complete maths activities.

‘Then and Now’ program at the National Museum

Stage 1 had a fantastic time participating in the, ‘Then and Now’ program at the National Museum. They were able to explore many different artefacts from the past and hear stories about how life has changed over time. Even though they learnt a lot about the past, a highlight was definitely the bus ride!

Ride and Walk to School Day

Last Friday we had our first Ride and Walk to School day for the year! It was great to see so many students and family members involved.

Cycling Club

Our cycling club is hugely popular with our senior students. They bring their own wheels or borrow our school bikes to develop skills and have fun during lunchtime each week.

Playgroup

At Thursday's Playgroup we enjoyed a visit from some Year 4, 5 and 6 students who were dressed to show their family's heritage for Harmony Day.

After telling us what country they or their family were from, they joined us to listen to the story 'Whoever You Are' by Mem Fox.

Little Hearts Playgroup offers a range of educational experiences for toddlers and preschool children with the support of their parents or carers. You do not need to have children attend Sacred Heart Primary to be a part of our playgroup community.

Come and join us each Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 11am

High School Visits

This week we have had MacKillop, St Clares and Merici College visit our Stage 3 students to give them some information on high school. All three schools had some of our past students come out to do the visits. It was great to see where they are now.
