Dear Parents and Carers,
We reflected on Remembrance Day with a prayer celebration this morning. The students were reverent and respectful of this special time and our stage 3 students led the prayer beautifully. Our thanks to Mrs Imbriano for organising this event for our students. We look forward to the time when we can welcome you all back into the school to share these events together.
COVID 19 Reminder
Please note that although there is an easing of restrictions in the ACT that come into effect from 12.00 tonight, schools remain the same. We are being asked to continue to seperate COHORTS across the school, and parents are still unable to come onto the school grounds outside of dropping off and picking up.
We will now have a teacher on duty from 8.30 each morning if you need to drop your child at this time. Please note that because of the COHORTING arrangements children will need to sit calmly with their cohort during this before school supervision time.

School Driveway
Just a reminder that during the morning and afternoon drop off/pickup when departing the school driveway that it is a left turn only. Turning right causes significant movement delays of the drive through.
Murphy St
We ask parents to park and approach the gate when dropping off or picking up children only. We tried it as a drive-through, but with the congestion outside the fence, it has not worked. Students will wait with the teacher in the courtyard. When we see a parent/carer outside the fence, we will send your child to you.
YMCA
Before and after school care is fully operational.
Mask Wearing
Outdoor – not required for staff or students.
Indoor
Staff - required. Unless assisting a child to understand clearly

Ride Safely to School Week
Ride Safely to School Week has been developed to give schools the opportunity to reinforce safety messages around cycling while encouraging students to ride to school.
We recognise the importance of kids getting the recommended 60 mins of physical activity everyday, and that while riding your bike it’s just as important to be safe on the streets.
Prayer and Reflection Resources
These prayer and reflection resources are for all families to find comfort, connection to faith and reassurance in these unsettling times. We encourage our school community to set aside time for personal and family prayer.

Remembrance Day marks the end of fighting on the Western Front on November 11, 1918.
Today at 11am, the staff and students from Sacred Heart gathered outside to commemorate those who have died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. The school paused and observed a minute's silence whilst the flag was lowered to half-mast The children wore poppies, the traditional symbol of Remembrance Day.
We thank Mr Peter Conroy for his reflective and informative video on Remembrance Day. I
