Dear Parents and Carers,
This Monday in the ACT we have a public holiday to celebrate National Reconciliation Week. The 2022 theme, “Be Brave. Make Change.” is a challenge to all Australians— individuals, families, communities, organisations and government—to Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for the benefit of all Australians. National Reconciliation Week 2022 At school children will be participating in a number of activities including a whole school performance next Thursday morning.
Tuesday is our pupil free day. We hope families enjoy the extra-long weekend. If you need care for your child on Tuesday, our YMCA has places available. Please see below for the details.
Confirmation
We have celebrated the Feast of Mary Help of Christians this week and tomorrow our candidates, due to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, will participate in a preparation retreat. We ask you to pray to Mary Help Christians to intercede on behalf of these young people as they receive this final Sacrament of Initiation into the church next Thursday evening.
School Leaders Shine
On Monday afternoon a number of primary school principals from around Australia visited Sacred Heart. They were very impressed with the school and in particular our enthusiastic student leaders who confidently and competently took them on tours of the school.
Take care and keep safe

- Please send a water bottle to school each day with your child. Our school bubblers are still closed due to COVID-19. A water bottle filling station is available in the senior corridor.
- Due to a shortage of relief teachers, when staff are ill we may use split class 'day away work' or collapse two classes together. We are managing well at the moment but make decisions around class management in response to daily need.
