Dear Parents and Carers,
HAPPY SACRED HEART DAY
Wishing everyone a very Happy Sacred Heart Day for tomorrow. The reading for tomorrow’s mass recalls the Parable of the Lost Sheep from Luke’s Gospel (15:4-6)
In reading a reflection by Brendan Byrne on better understanding the message to us from this story. We are told : -
‘God is crazy with love over each individual human being and rejoices exuberantly over finding one that had been lost.’
We pray that everyone in our community experiences God’s love as we celebrate our Feast Day.
A huge thank you to Mrs Imbriano for organising and coordinating this very special community day.
We look forward to seeing those parents and carers who are able to join us on the day and extend a huge thank you to those who have volunteered to help in some way.
Netball Gala Day
Stage 2
We and the students were so looking forward to a whole day of playing netball on Tuesday. But once again the weather was not in our favour and the day was cut short.
Stage 3

Thank you to Mrs Stumbles for organising the student’s participation and the staff and parents who volunteered to support these events.

And keep an eye out for the A5 fridge Magnet next week for the all important countdown preparations.
Open Classrooms
The staff and students have missed having you visit our classrooms over the past few years. Your children have lots of learning and places they would like to show you. So, we would like to take the occasion of our Sacred Heart Feast Day to invite you to visit.
- Dates: Thursday 23rd June between 3.15-3.45pm Friday 24th June between 8.30-8.55am
- Guides: Your child(ren) will be your guide. They may take you into any classroom around the school. Please avoid the Hall as YMCA will be hosting after hours care. It is the children’s choice as to what they want to show you. Some teachers may be around, but any specific questions about your child’s learning should be left for an interview time.
- Social distancing: Please enter through the front door so we are aware of who and how many bodies are in the building. QR codes will be available but not mandatory. Please maintain 1.5m between family groups and if a room appears busy go to another room first. Please exit through an external door near your final classroom.
Parent Teacher Interviews (Optional)
It has been so good to see parents and carers in the building this week. Interview opportunities continue next week. We will open online bookings again from 4pm this afternoon (Thursday) until 4pm Sunday for any family who missed the earlier window to make bookings next week.
Visit SCHOOL INTERVIEWS The event code is jbtw7

- Please send a water bottle to school each day with your child. Our school bubblers are still closed due to COVID-19. A water bottle filling station is available in the senior corridor.
- Due to a shortage of relief teachers, when staff are ill we may use split class 'day away work' or collapse two classes together. We are managing well at the moment but make decisions around class management in response to daily need.
- If families have any clothes hangers with clips to donate to the clothing pool, could they please bring them to the front office.

How do good communicators present?
Well ask Mia who confidently represented Sacred Heart at the Rostrum Quarter Finals on Monday. Mia presented brilliantly and has progressed to the Canberra Semi-finals. We are so proud of her and all the effort she made to prepare her speech. Congratulations Mia!
Kindergarten Maths
In Maths Kinder have been learning about different ways things can be measured. Kinder followed a recipe to make play dough and it was an excellent opportunity for them to be collaborators.
