Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to a new term. Many in the community have had the opportunity to get away and/or spend time relaxing these holidays. We have also had reports of families who spent time in isolation due to illness. The children have come back full of energy and excitement ready to begin a new term of learning.
COVID 19 update
As per the letter from the Director of Catholic Education the following COVID 19 processes are in place in regards to being on site at SHPS:
- Physical distancing should be maintained on school sites where possible
- Students and visitors must not attend school sites if they are unwell and will be sent home if they show any symptoms of COVID-19
- Visitors and students should at all times maintain appropriate hand and respiratory hygiene
- Although we encourage visitors to wear masks on school sites, they are not required
- We ask parents to let the school know via the front office if their child/ren tests positive for COVID-19 to help us in our planning
- Onsite meetings need to be held remotely where possible
Unfortunately we are unable to invite parents to our Friday afternoon assemblies for the remainder of the term due to the new road map from Catholic Education.
We will continue to communicate any adjustments as we respond and information becomes available.
NAIDOC
As part of our celebration and recognition of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the children at SHPS will participate in a NAIDOC prayer celebration on Friday. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions for CE schools we are unable to extend an invitation to our parents and carers at this time.

Little Hearts Playgroup
Little Hearts Playgroup has recommenced for Term 3 with lots of fun indoor activities.
Playgroup provides children aged between 2 and 4 years opportunity to grow and develop through play and provides their parents and caregivers opportunity to connect with their community.
Please contact the office if you would like to be a part of the fun!
Are you able to help Playgroup? We are looking for donations of wooden puzzles suitable for pre-schoolers. If your children have outgrown their wooden puzzles we would love them.
