Kindergarten White
Mr O’Dwyer will be taking leave in weeks 8, 9 and 10 (Monday 17 June to Friday 5 July) to undergo surgery. During his leave Mrs Janica Morella will be teaching Kindergarten on Monday and Tuesday and Mrs Amy Kelly will be teaching Kindergarten Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Janica currently has a classroom teacher support role in the school and is extending her hours to include Kindergarten White for the rest of Term 2.
We wish him well for the surgery and a speedy recovery.
A Reflection in light of last week’s Reconciliation Events
For thousands of years this culture of yours was free to grow without interference by people from other places. You lived your lives in spiritual closeness to the land, with its animals, birds, fishes, waterholes, rivers, hills and mountains. Through your closeness to the land you touched the sacredness of man’s relationship with God, for the land was the proof of a power in life greater than yourselves.
You did not spoil the land, use it up, exhaust it and then walk away from it. You realised that your land was related to the source of life.
The silence of the Bush taught you a quietness of soul that put you in touch with another world, the world of God’s Spirit. Your careful attention to the details of kinship spoke of your reverence for birth, life and human generation.
These achievements are indications of human strivings. And in these strivings you showed a dignity open to the message of God’s revealed wisdom to all men and women, which is the great truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. - Address of St Pope John Paul II Alice Springs 1986
Yours faithfully,
Anne Staines

We are selling Liquid Fertiliser
Thanks to the efforts of our past and present Environment and Stage 3 Leaders our worm farms are producing some black liquid gold fertiliser. We are collecting our worm wee in 3L milk containers which we have repurposed from the canteen and staffroom. We are selling our produce for $2.50 per bottle while stocks last.
When applying this black liquid gold fertiliser to your garden remember to dilute the worm wee 1:10L. This means you are getting 30L of 'A grade' liquid fertilser for less than a cup of coffee. Wow that is good value! All proceeds will go towards other sustainability initiatives within our school.
