As we enter into the 4th Sunday of Advent and prepare for Jesus birth at Christmas I offer the following Prayer
Maranatha: Come Lord Jesus
Come and strengthen our love of justice.
Come and dispel the darkness of jealousy, hatred and violence.
Come and guide those who search for you.
Come and be the authentic Teacher and King.
Come and welcome the stranger.
Come and give a home to the refugee and the outcast.
Come and be with us in all our joys, sorrows, challenges, disappointments and achievements.
Maranatha: Come!
Wishing everyone a happy Christmas and restful holiday period. May your Christmas be filled with love and be the gift you need right now. Take the time to enjoy the break from school and routines and enjoy time with those you love to help you recharge.
Take care and keep safe

Parent Representative
We are calling for nominations for a Parent Representative for each class for 2023. The Class Parent Rep will liaise with the classroom teacher and the Community Council Parent Rep Coordinator.
The role is very flexible but often entails:
- Managing a class contact group
- Arranging age appropriate catch-ups for families to meet each other
- Support chain if a family in the class needs a helping hand
- Something special for the teacher’s birthday
- Supporting the school in communicating with parents about special events
If you are interested in continuing with the role, taking it on or even sharing it with someone, please talk with Anne Staines or Danielle Hartnett (2022 CC Parent Rep Coordinator).
Please see the attached Newsletter for Christmas Mass times and information.
School Sport
It’s a fantastic time of year to start thinking about how students can make the transition from school sport to sporting clubs with many local sporting organisations now taking registrations for summer. To promote club sport to families in our SHPS community please find below the link to help students make the move from school to club sport. We encourage you to use the Sporting Schools Find a Club page, where parents can explore more than 35 sports and find a club in their local area for your child to get engaged and start a lifelong love of sport. With so many options, there is something for everyone!

These are a few behind the scene shots of the hard working staff and children preparing for our community carols.
Graduation
What a beautiful way to send off our 2022 Sacred Heart Graduates.
Tuesday we had our end of year mass where the Year 6 leaders handed over the light of leadership to the Year 5 students. In the evening the Year 6 students, parents and teachers joined to celebrate the milestones of our graduates.
“If you aim to be something you are not, you will always fail.
Aim to be you. Aim to look and act and think like you. Aim to be the truest version of you.
Embrace that you-ness.
Endorse it.
Love it.
Work hard at it.”
― Matt Haig, The Midnight Library
