Dear Parents and Carers,
This weekend our Church celebrates the Feast of Corpus Christi which translates from Latin to "Body of Christ."
This feast calls us to focus on two manifestations of the Body of Christ, the Holy Eucharist and the Church. The primary purpose of this feast is to focus our attention on the Eucharist. At every Mass our attention is called to the Eucharist and the Real Presence of Christ in it. The secondary focus of this feast is upon the Body of Christ as it is present in the Church.
Annual Survey to inform the SHPS community
We encourage all families to participate in the annual school survey. This survey - “Tell Them from Me’, is an important and valuable way for SHPS to hear the voice of students, parents and teachers in our community, affirming what is going well and looking towards ways of improving our school. The survey ling will be sent out on Compass later today.
Staff Leave
We wish the best and every blessing to Mrs Laura Stumbles as she begins her well deserved long service leave on Monday. Her students look forward to hearing about her family travels.
We wish Mrs Lisa Davis the best and every blessing as she enjoys the opportunity to spend time with family on a well deserved long service leave holiday.
No Newsletter for the next 2 weeks
Please note that while Mrs Davis is away there will be no newsletter (weeks 8 and 9). Reminders and important information including birthdays and awards will be sent out to families through the Compass platform.

Author Visit
This week Sacred Heart was visited by the award winning author, Dr Cameron Stelzer. Cameron’s Pirate Rats and the Stroogle are some of the fan favourites in the library.
All the children participated in a variety of different workshop to develop their capacity to be creative writers. As communicators they explored ways to entertain their audience by using engaging language to draw in their audience or creating entertaining pictures.
Thanks Cameron for sharing your talents with our learning community today.
South Weston Cross County
Congratulations to the students who represented Sacred Heart at the South Weston Cross County. They all had a great day.
Playgroup
This week Playgroup enjoyed Glitter Playdough and had fun with shaving cream.
Thank you to Eva from year 1 for donating some wonderful new dress ups.
Playgroup currently has 1 shopping trolley and 1 dolls pram, these are both very popular items. If anyone has either a dolls pram or shopping trolley that your children have grown out of and you would like to rehome, Playgroup would really appreciate them.
