Dear Parents and Carers,
We express our gratitude for the generous support and help at our Father’s Day event last Friday. It was a wonderful morning with much laughter and joy.
This Sunday the readings at mass highlight that Jesus is truly present in the community of disciples we call church. We are wonderfully bound to each other as family. This calls for a loving responsibility towards each other. The church is a living community that is called to reach out with Love as its foundational principle.
Take care and keep safe

Sacred Heart Community Ride and Walk to school Morning
Our Term 3 Ride or Walk to school morning is Friday 15th September, Week 9.
This term we would like to build an independent ride and walking community within our school. The warmer weather is coming, which means riding or walking to school may become a more practical option of getting to school for some families.
Normally, students would meet teachers at various pick up locations within our community. We have loved doing this for our Sacred Heart Community, but now it is time to hand this over to parents/carers who may wish to organise riding/walking to school groups around your local area. We are hoping that by doing this, we are empowering your child/ren to build their confidence and independence to actively commute to school more safely and frequently.
Ways to organise this could be to find information and communicate/connect via The Sacred Heart Parents and Carers Facebook page or utilise other parent networks you have. (You may wish to set up a WhatsApp community to organise daily or weekly walking to school days). We will also send out our usual meeting points (without teachers) so parents can meet there and send their children on their way to school. This may help to organise future riding/walking mornings and if some parents are able to walk with the group, they can talk about how to get to school safely with the children.
As usual, we will have fresh fruit, music and a raffle draw when students arrive at school.
We hope this begins an exciting chapter of confidence and independence for our Sacred Heart Students, enabling them to nurture their hearts, minds and spirits.
On Tuesday, playgroup enjoyed the beautiful spring sunshine and had a picnic for snack and story time.
Years 3-6 participated in the Mind Matters webinar today learning about how to be resilient. Here are 3 Red joining in.
Our Year 2/3 netball team, the Lightning Bolts have had a ripper of a first season showing skill and determination to learn the new game. The girls showed up each week full of enthusiasm and drive and gave it their all, even on those super chilly mornings when the mercury hadn’t even reached zero yet. Gemma and Ella have been fantastic coaches, navigating the girls through the new netball territory and teaching them the game.
Let’s not forget the parents who show up every Saturday hugging their cups of steaming coffee or our wonderful team manager Amy, for keeping us all in the know with the important information.
Our last game is next week followed by a well earned celebratory party.
We are looking forward to next year. There is even the possibility of a summer comp. If you have a child interested in netball next winter, please consider joining one of our Sacred Heart teams - we hope to field a junior team again next year.
Congratulations to the Sacred Heart Year 4/5 netball team, Cyclones on another awesome season of netball.
The girls have worked hard to develop and improve their netball skills, but most importantly they have had lots of fun!
A big thank you to our coach Emily for her commitment and hard work.
Congratulations to the following students celebrating their birthday
