Canteen Helpers Needed
Unfortunately the Canteen has been closed due to unforseen circumstances.
Good news though! The Canteen will be open for orders tomorrow thanks to some of our wonderful parent helpers.
In order for the Canteen to be open next week, we are calling for any volunteers who may be able to help.
Please contact the office with your availabilty if you can assist. Volunteers will need to have a current working with vunerable people card, or complete a stat dec at the front office.
Thank you for your support.
Shari.
Welfare News
The welfare team, Tash Barrenger and Maria Lustri, will be facilitating the Friendship Matters program during 4th term.
The 6 week program is run in carefully constructed small groups and is targeted at selected Stage 2 girls. Teachers have chosen participants that would benefit from developing friendship skills, self-awareness, confidence and empathy to improve their peer relationships.
We have been advised by a parent that a parking fine was issued last week for "parallel park close to dividing line/strip". There is a solid white line where Murphy Street and McNeil Place intersect. Please be aware that this area is monitored by ACT Govt parking vehicles and you may be issued with an infringement notice.

I worked in Real Estate as a property manager and sales assistant straight out of school, I did that for 8 years. I then continued to work full time when I decided to go to university to study teaching. I also worked at Eastlake football club to support myself in the last part of my degree. I did my final placement in teaching at Sacred Heart with Mrs Bartlett and then I started working here the following year.
I grew up in a small town just outside of Canberra called Queanbeyan, haha.
I have two small children, Addison is 4 ½ and Ollie is 2 1/2 and my Husband Jon. I see my extended family (Parents, brother) regularly on the weekends. I have 1 brother and sister in-law and a nephew. We see each other at swimming on Saturdays and then always have family dinner on Sunday night where my parents cook (so good not to cook on a Sunday).
I do love chocolate, especially Lindt balls but hot chips are my favourite. I remember getting off the bus early with a friend on our only day off from sport and ordering $2’s worth of hot chips from the takeaway eating them on the way home. I could eat them all the time.
I follow the NRL quite religiously and the Raiders are my main team. I follow lots of other sports as well. The interest in sport is a family thing, it has always been a part of our family life.
If I could have a superpower, I would be invisible so I could have some time to myself, haha. I would also like to be able to travel instantly to anywhere I wanted.
This year, with my husband and 2 kids we travelled to the Greek Islands for 3 weeks. It was the most amazing holiday. We loved the food, the people and especially the water and weather. We went to four islands, Naxos, Paros, Santorini and Mykonos. So after that, we have gotten the European travel bug and would love to go to Croatia, Italian coast. We also love travelling anywhere with a beach/pool, so we will probably go to Thailand or Hawaii in the next year or so. Noosa is also on my Australian bucket list holiday.
Favourite funny quote from a student: I don’t always have a great memory of these things but I do remember a student not being able to remember my name and they would always have to ask their friend my name so they could ask me something.
