Dear Parents and Carers,

We are almost at the end of another busy and exciting year with many achievements to celebrate. Thank you to all those who have contributed in any way to support the school community.

I will be on sick leave from today. I wish to send my best wishes to all for a joy filled Christmas and wonderful break with your family. Kerry will be Acting Principal during my absence. I look forward to catching up in the new year.

Next week we will farewell our Year 6 student leaders at the end of year Mass on Tuesday at 12pm. We wish them all the best for the next stage of their life.

Staff Changes

Mrs Melissa Johnston will be leaving us at the end of the year. We thank her sincerely for the many contributions she has made in her time as Front Office Assistant at Sacred Heart Primary and wish her well in her future endeavors. Mrs Lisa Davis will be joining Shari in the Front Office from January as well as continuing in her roles with ICT and the Learning Support Team.  

Mrs Lisa Binutti-Wilson has accepted a one-year transfer to a neigbouring school. We wish Lisa a happy change of scenery. Mrs Julie Jillard will be taking long service leave for semester one in 2020. We wish Julie all the best and hope she has a restful break.

We have a few staff who will be leaving Sacred Heart at the end of year: Mrs Anna Thornton, Miss Annie Brill, Mrs Shelley Salzke and Ms Kelly Evans. We wish to thank them for the gift they have been to our community.

We congratulate Mr Dillon Beltrame and Miss Megan Klomp on their recent re-appointments.

We will welcome Mrs Helen Hamilton and Ms Samantha Bartley to our staff for 2020.

Christmas Concert

At last nights Christmas Concert the community raised $265 in donations to go towards the St Vincents Christmas Appeal. The money will be spent to buy gifts for the children. Thank you for all your donations of money and items for the hampers. If you would still like to donate, you can do so up until the close of business Monday 16th December.

Canteen

The canteen will be closed on Thursday 19th December 2019 due to end of year  cleaning.

Position Vacant

Sacred Heart Primary will have a Janitors position available in 2020. The position will be four hours per week. The hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant. The position will be advertised on the Catholic Education’s website in January 2020.

SZApp Notices

SZapp iPhone Update

An update for SZapp has been released to accommodate for iPhones which have recently updated their software to iOS 13 and above. iOS Version 13+ was causing some devices to intermittently receive push notifications.

SZapp version 3.0.9 is available from the App Store now and we advise all iPhone users to install this version to ensure notifications are received correctly. Users with automatic updates enabled on their device will recieve this update automatically. Schoolzine_iphone_update.pdf

SZapp security code

When you subscribe to SZapp notifications you now need a security code. This may be needed if you update the app as well. Please refer to an email push or contact the office if you need the code. This information will not be publicly available.

Private Piano Tuition for 2020
